{Welcome Home} Westfield New Jersey Photographer

Things are starting to come along nicely at our new house.  There are still bare walls, a lack of rugs, and some missing lampshades, but we are slowly unpacking all of our belongings.  One thing that is really starting to shape up is our front yard.  Between house warming gifts, and a quick trip to the nursery, there is some new life outside.  A Knockout Rose is sitting on the front step…

A Black Eyed Susan vine is slowly working its way up the rod iron railing…

A daisy bush is much happier now that it is in the ground, and a series of hanging baskets add a little punch.

We still have a lot to do,  like pull out a ton of grass to extend the beds and then finish planting.   I want to put in some pincushions, thread leaf coreopsis, cone flowers, black eyed susans, and some of those cute little mini petunias as well as some lantana.   I know that it will take me all summer to get it done, but I don’t care.  I love my first “new home project” because it doesn’t just make it feel like a home to me and my family, but it is a warm welcome to all of those in the neighborhood who may be interested in stopping by to say “hello”!
