There are a lot of Newsletters out there, I get it. I know what it is like to have a full inbox, I’m one of “those people” whose inbox number is in the thousands. 6, 703 to be exact. This newsletter is going to be different, and here’s why:

  • Quality content, free patterns + tutorials, and inspiration in every newsletter.

  • Motivation to get you moving on your works-in-progress and finish projects that have stalled. Freebies to get you on track and keep you accountable.

  • Mini lessons or small projects in every newsletter to satisfy your need to make something. RIGHT NOW!

  • Opportunities to connect with other sewists and quilters. Find a community, make a friend.

  • Not Spammy. Ever.

Who am I? HEY! I’m Meg. I’m here to help you get to work.headshot 3 web

  • I’ve been creating all my life, but my love for sewing and quilting really took hold in 2013. Due to a serious injury, I was unable to continue to work as a professional photographer and desperately needed a creative outlet. The love affair was not immediate because I was teaching myself, and I did not have the resources to help me through the challenges that I faced. My passion was strong, however, and I did not give up (potentially because I love shopping for fabric and was running out of storage). My commitment to the craft has grown (much like the size of my fabric stash), and my love for the community strong.

  • I currently live on the east coast of the USA with my husband, 3 kids, 4 cats, 1 hamster, and 1 crayfish. Her name is Muffin.

You may be interested in some of the things I’ve done. Here are some examples:

  • Co-host of #saturdaynightcraftalong on Instagram. This community has grown to hundreds and hundreds of members across the globe that come together every Saturday night for a virtual crafting party. Our tag has nearly 13.5k photos and is growing every week.

  • Pattern Designer. My pattern shop is new, and currently has 2 exciting patterns in it. A New Day was designed specifically for Art Gallery Fabrics, and uses Sage fabrics by Bari J. Oooooh!

  • (In Progress) Successfully managing to raise 3 young, relatively healthy girls and still find time to sew, knit, design, create.

So, what do you think? Want to join in?

As a “thank you” I’m including a FREE Tools to Get Going guide. This guide is perfect for those of you who are brand new to the craft. For those of you who have been sewing and quilting for awhile, it is simply a way to make you feel good knowing that you already are using some of the best tools out there.
