Jelly Roll Sweater

The Jelly Roll Sweater by Mara Catherine Bryner of Orange Knits is flying off the needles!

This is a well-written pattern and truly a fun knit. BONUS: no brioche! I am not necessarily a Brioche hater, but it is not something that I can knit while doing other things, like reading, etching a movie, or carrying on any semblance of a conversation!

The double rolled collar is my favorite feature, and I know my daughter will appreciate the loose, open collar.

I am using Madeline Tosh Sock for this sweater. I scooped it up on Black Friday to take advantage of Eat.Sleep.Knit.’s annual sale. I’m a lucky girl in that my birthday usually falls right around Black Friday, so whatever gift cards I get I am able to use towards the awesome sales that inevitably pop up. This year I was able to purchase two sweaters worth of yarn. YEA, BABY!

Another great feature is the stranded colorwork, which I think is just as beautiful on the wrong side as it is on the right.

I’m hoping this sweater will be oversized on my 6 year old so she gets plenty of time out of it!

Happy Crafting!
