{SX-70 Newbie} Westfield, New Jersey Photographer

My dad was kind enough to give me his SX-70 Polaroid Land Camera.  After cleaning up the wheels and such, it worked like a charm!  I ordered some film from Impossible, and I was not disappointed, though I have to say it has been a bit of a learning curve for me.  The original film that I ordered was 600 film, so that means it was a little bit finicky.  I haven’t really scanned any of my images yet, other than these.  These are really the only ones worth scanning.  I ran out of film, and ordered some more, I am looking forward to the next batch :)

Enjoy your weekend!

(PS – sessions will be up soon. I was sick most of the week so I am behind on my editing!)

  • I tried to get better at taking Polaroids for an entire year. After all that, and a ton of cash, I pretty much only have a stack of bad Polaroid shots! So there definitely is a learning curve and it certainly is not as easy as it looks!

Have fun with yours…you’ll do great and I can’t wait to see more pics!

  • I’m a newbie too. I just finished my first pack of PX100 and now am trying ATZ. It’s such a different feeling to really think about and compose each picture (at $3 at shot!) instead of just clicking away.

  • how fun! arent dads the best!? :)

  • I too have one of these and enjoy it for a change of pace-

Just stumbled on your blog while researching Westfield (potential move there for us).

    Love you photography!
