Where to begin?
I typed out an incredibly long and extensive post about the state of my family’s finances and our current issues with our healthcare. After all was said and done, it just seemed like I was being whiney, and I certainly don’t want to come across that way.
To make a long story short, we hit our $4,000 deductible back in February (we’ve had 6 ER visits this year), and then had to pay another 10% of the bills up to $1,500. We had to make some adjustments, but managed to pay it off, though it has set back our finances for the rest of the year.
Last week, we received the $5,500 bill from the plastic surgeon for the 20 stitches that Thaya got in June. “Wow,” I told Matt. “Thank goodness we hit our deductible and don’t have to worry…” It seemed like no sooner were the words out of my mouth, that we were informed that insurance would only cover $800 of it. I may have gone into shock. We certainly don’t have $4,700 laying around, and considering we have the added expense of Thaya’s and Aubrie’s school coming up in September (and omg, Netflix increases), we probably wouldn’t be able to squeeze that out of our already depleted budget even within a year.
So, here I am to say that if you have been considering purchasing a print from my Etsy shop, and just haven’t gotten around to it, now would be a great time. You have your choice of digital prints and cards from Tea & Brie, and also analog choices over at Lily Makes Three. All prints can be ordered as blank greeting cards, and all prints can be upgraded to an absolutely gorgeous eco-mount. I’ve added two new prints to the shop, and if the weather manages to cool down and my newborn manages to sleep, I will get out to add some more prints this week.
And, if you are feeling extra generous, you can always recommend my shop to a friend! Don’t forget to check out my Facebook Fan Page for information on new prints.
And as an added incentive, anything ordered from my shops through July 31st will receive a freebie mini-print of the image that will be included at the press-kits at The Emmys!
As always, if you are interested in licensing for commercial use, I currently have over 40 images over at Getty, and more are being added weekly.
