{Growing Family} Westfield, NJ family photographer

A few months ago I photographed an extended family which included the {M} family.  When they told me that they were pregnant and wanted to do a maternity/family session of just their little unit, I was thrilled.  From my experience with the extended family, I knew the session with them would be fast paced and fun…

I mean, look at them! They wanted to chase ducks around the park!  How fun is that?  To top off all of the excitement of two little chunky monkeys and a third on the way, I also had a connection to Mama {M} as we’ve known each other since we were about 5 years old.  Maybe 4.  I don’t know.  We walked to school together every morning.  We danced our way through the 80s sporting leotards, leg warmers, and side ponytails.  And when we recently reconnected, we found each other to be on similar paths – married, home owners, and building our families.

That one just cracks me up.  I love how mom and dad are stealing a moment while {L} and {J} have their attention on something that is obviously much more important :)

I’m glad that they decided they wanted to divide their session into family and maternity.  It gave me a chance to see {L} and {J} and play with them for a bit, but it also gave me the opportunity to admire {I}’s beautiful belly.  Look at her!  Pregnancy has been GOOD to this woman!

And now, my two favorite shots from the session.  I love the next two images for one reason: Sun Flare.  I love how the beautiful warm autumn light seems to be glowing just for {B}, {L}, and their little munckin.  I also cannot STAND how in the second image she is being showered in sunflare sprinkley sparkles.  It is magical and beautiful and warm.  Hrmph.  These make me wish that I had maternity shots done when I was pregnant!

Thank you SO much for such an amazing session, guys!

Check back during the week for a session with a cutie patootie 4 mo old!
