Equilateral Triangle Quilt

We’re going to be leaving in a few moments to head to the Philadelphia Flower Show, but before we go I wanted to share with you a new quilt that I finished.

Title: Equilateral Triangle Quilt

Dimensions: 46″ x 60″ It is a perfect toddler quilt.
Fabric: A variety of fabrics from a fat quarter pack found at Pink Castle Fabrics

The Process: I used two fat quarter packs and cut them into 6″ strips.  I used this as a visual guide on how to cut equilateral triangles.

Quilting: Quilting lines followed the diagonal lines created by the triangles. I quilted about 1/8″ on either side of the seam.

What Needs to be Done: I just need to hand this off to its new owner!

For Next Time: I will try larger triangle next time.  6″ were a great size, but I think I’d like to try both 9″ and 12″.  Also, I cut my binding to 2.5″ and sewed it down at 3/8″ from the edge.  Next time I will sew it at 1/4″ from the edge to give me a bit more space to tack it down on the back.

Don’t forget to check the shop from time to time to see if I have any quilts in stock and ready to ship.  I’ve been slowly working on them for sale.  Also, find me on Facebook and Instagram for in-progress shots!
